New Association Formed

The study, which separately addresses impact, trends, and volume shifts for 12 print applications, reveals that not all print applications will be affected equally, likewise for equipment and supplies in the print value chain. For example, plate volume will likely increase due to more frequent, shorter run print jobs.
Alternately, publications that rely on advertising revenue are far more vulnerable primarily due to "channel switching" than, for example, books. The cloud was identified as the single most important enabler in the continuing growth of electronic communication technologies.

Keran was selected by the judges from among a variety of nominations received nationwide. His nominator lauded his success at creating a culture that has inspired Western Graphics employees to share their knowledge and creativity.
In the last five years, the company has completed more than 2,000 employee-initiated projects and demonstrated striking improvements in rework, lost-time accidents, and sales per employee. At monthly all-staff meetings Keran reviews finances, shares team-by-team results, and recognizes employees. Supervisors hold quarterly coaching conversations with each employee.
Keran also instituted a profit sharing plan that rewards employees for improving efficiency and customer satisfaction.

The father and son team of Craig and Matt Steichen created a very unique way to honor the nation's military heroes. Their "All32in17" project has been traveling to locations across the country taking two different Wounded Warrior Veterans to each of the 32 stadiums for a home game. The veterans are always local heroes from each respective city. The project has been garnering national attention and was featured on a story on ESPN's "Monday Night Countdown".
