I have been wrapping vehicles for over 15 years and in the past I have made a lot of money. Today I find it much more difficult to make money wrapping vehicles, so instead of just dropping my price or worse off, substutiting my good vinyl for low cost vinyl to try to make money. I took on wrapping more unusual things like boats, horse trailers, beer storage tanks, etc.

The boats are the most profitable because most boat owners are men and they are very driven to make their boat the best. What is interesting about boats is that they are large but the actual sq. ft. of vinyl is very small.

The other items like the trailers are just normal vehicle wrap vinyl. The beer towers are very large and complicated as they are always dirty, they are HUGE, and they are in many cases not easy to get to. So I have a number of hanging systems, and ways to get to areas on the tanks that allows me to win more bids due to the installation.

The key here is for you to talk to your customers, find out what they are doing to make money and if the answer is basically "we wait for the phone to ring" then take some time to help your customers understand that they can do more then just sell banners and posters.

Help them understand the applications and the products that best fit the applications. Then help them understand how and what tools to use to make these jobs go smoothly.
